The Scoutmasters of Dusthill complement the Hillguard by acting in an investigative role for the town. Scoutmasters are responsible for vetting and recruiting new members of the community, and investigating nearby residents of the region to ensure they do not represent a risk to the town.

Episode 6 - Zorenthelas, one of the Scoutmasters, appears during the town meeting at the well, explaining that the Scoutmasters should help assist the town with its recovery, instead of their normal responsibilities of finding new members for the town, and identifying denizens of the wastelands.
